Every one of them puts a reasoning section between you and the room.
Quantitative, English and logical reasoning — reasoning gets a section of its own, it usually comes first, and it is the one part that is a skill rather than a syllabus.
For final-year students sitting campus aptitude tests this placement season.
Why start now
A placement test isn't really trying to find out what you know. It's trying to get from four hundred applicants to forty in an afternoon. The reasoning section does much of that cutting, because it is fast to score and hard to fake.
Which is good news, in a way: it's the one section where a few months of practice moves you further than a few months of revision would anywhere else. Reasoning is a skill, and skills respond to spaced, deliberate practice in a way that syllabus does not.
And it doesn't expire with the season. The same section shows up in bank exams, in SSC, in the early logical reasoning of CAT. Train it once.
The scoring differs, the section names differ slightly, and the counts move between seasons. What holds is that reasoning is always tested on its own, and always early.
Logical reasoning isn't a syllabus you can read. It's a thinking skill, built by practising the right questions, the right amount, over time. That's exactly what Master Mental Ability does — and TCS's own description of its Reasoning Ability section reads like the app's contents page: word and number patterns, problem solving, figural and factual analysis, decision making, propositional reasoning and visual-spatial reasoning.
Harder as you improve, easier when you slip. No time wasted on what you've already got.
Spaced repetition returns a question right as it's about to fade — so it's still there on test day.
You reason it out before the answer shows. That effort is where recognition gets built.
A moment to settle before each session. The same calm a module timer takes away.
On Android, all questions live securely on your phone — so after install, daily practice costs zero data. On desktop or laptop, solve in any browser with an active connection. A quiet check-in about once a week syncs your progress.
The Android app is still in build. Tell us which exam you are preparing for and we will message you the day it opens.
In 2007, in his second year at IIT Delhi, Vineesh wrote a book — Master Mental Ability in 30 Days. It has sold year after year ever since, without the publisher ever marketing it.
In the years since, he built other learning products and spent a decade working with children of every background in a holistic learning centre.
This app goes far beyond that book — everything he's learned about how people actually learn, built into something you practise, not just read.

Fifteen minutes a day on blood relations, data arrangement and syllogisms — the 20 Reasoning Ability questions in TCS iON's NQT Cognitive section, and what AMCAT and eLitmus ask alongside them.
Invite a friend preparing for placement tests — you both earn more free days.
Free to try — no signup to start, no card, no auto-debit, nothing taken silently. When you want the full library there are three plans, by length: ₹499 for three months, ₹699 for six, ₹999 for a year. Each is a single payment for that period, not a subscription — when it ends we ask you, and nothing is ever taken automatically. You can also keep learning free by sharing the app, and you can always try before paying anything.
It trains the reasoning section, which is one of three or four. Quant, English and any coding or domain round need their own work, and the interview is its own thing entirely. We'd rather be genuinely useful for one section than vague about all of them.
Reasoning is the section people assume they'll be fine at, which is exactly why it filters so many out. It sits on a short clock — AMCAT publishes 12 Logical Ability questions in 15 minutes — and on a short clock, recognition beats method. That's a trained reflex, not a topic you revise.
Partly. Reasoning improves with spaced practice over months, so three weeks won't transform it. It will still be better than not practising — and the tests after this one are closer than they feel, including next season's.
Yes — fully. Choose Hindi and the whole app is Hindi: the questions themselves, the options, and the explanation after each one — not an English app with Hindi labels around it. Worth being straightforward here: placement aptitude tests are almost always set in English, so this is one page where the app's Hindi matters less than the reasoning practice does.
Almost never. The questions are on your phone, so you can practise on a train, in a village with no signal, on a phone with no data pack. The app checks in with us about once a week to confirm your access is still active — a few seconds, a few kilobytes. That's also when your progress is saved online and when replies to any questions you've asked come through. If you're offline for longer than that, nothing is lost — you just reconnect when you can.
Through your college's placement cell, or on the vendor's own site — TCS iON for the NQT, and the vendors' own portals for AMCAT and the eLitmus pH Test. Never through an agent and never through us. Each vendor publishes its own test dates and instructions; read them before your slot, because the patterns do change.
